vida en La Ceiba

guaaaa. that is spanish for wow! i cannot believe 2 weeks have blown bye here in Honduras. The days are long because the sun is so intense and draining, but i seem to last from morning til evening running around and active, sucking what i can out of each day. a few highlights from the past week or so...

My classes are going well. I was switched to a different teacher as my usual maestra, Yesseina, has taken time off as her cousin was recently murdered... please please please keep her in your prayers. I start helping at the orphanage on Monday and will work there in the afternoons Mon thru Fri.

Living with a family here has been interesting and always crazy. I seem to have created a routine with the 3 year old, Fiorela, as we read story books before lunch and then after lunch we draw ´dibujos' :) she loves coming in my room or just following me around! And then there is the 11 month old, Fara. what a precious baby. i have been helping with here every so often and i love being with her! this sunday we are taking a family trip to the water park lol and it will definitely be crazy.

Church. I have found a very humble, simple, Bible believing church called Sala Evangelica. I absolutely love it. I am understanding the messages, but it is very difficult to catch everything. The Hondurans in this church are so loving and so reflective of Christ. The people here are immediately honest..For example, as I was walking by Sala Evangelica last week and stopped to peer inside, a man from the church right away shared Jesus´s life, death, and resurrection with me. The people here live with an urgency and passion that I find refreshing and challenging.

I send my love to all and miss friends and family dearly!! Besos!
